Tasty sandwich at Citi Field. The line was close to an hour downstairs by the Shea Bridge, but upstairs less than 15 minutes. The only reason I knew it was up there was because of the App.

Raul Ibanez and Pete Rose passed me on golf carts coming into the park.

They had a food truck city setup over by Macy’s on 34th St. This sandwich looked great, but was about the saltiest thing I’d ever eaten.

No Stantz, Venkman, or Spengler.

So close to Halloween, I needed something with pumpkin in it.

Patzeria was solid. I went back another time during the week.

Was bummed that the rides don’t run in the Fall. I debated going back the next day (since they do run on the weekends,) but hit a New Jersey Devils game instead.

Obligatory Portland trip to Voodoo Donuts with the girls. It’s funny to see how tired the girls look. It makes sense after the week we’d had on the road!

Awesome experience watching a game on the Green Monster, even cooler that it was against the Yankees.

Ran into a group of guys from Seattle that were on a ballpark trip between Boston and Chicago.

Clam fritters were good, but they needed tarter sauce. I’m always down for the ‘regional’ ballpark foods.

The man on the right is Charles Bakst. We didn’t know it at the time, but Charles was a well known reporter in Rhode Island, and had interviewed a number of Presidents. We talked for about a half hour.

Undoubtedly the most depressing store in the US. I didn’t dream this place was actually open, or that it used to be a big deal, until I peaked my head in. Pretty sad to see.

My first lobster roll. It tasted like a sandwich filled with tongues.

My hotel in Cooperstown was so dated that they still had actual keys!

Worst biscuits and gravy ever. It tasted like someone had thrown grissly sausage into a pot of milk, then poured it over biscuits. Gross!

My Cooperstown hotel room is trapped in the 60s/70s. But it was cheap, comfortable enough, and close into town.

So, so good. This was an East Coast sandwich chain (who’s name escapes me at the moment). Turkey, stuffing, cranberry spread, gravy. So, so good. I’ve longed for one ever since.

Whoopie Pies, just like my Grandma used to make. I always thought that was something she’d invented growing up until I saw them at various stops over the years.

Always down for a Wolfgang Puck pizza at the airport. They’re like candy, I can eat them all day. They’re also super garlicy, so sorry about that to whoever gets stuck next to me.

They were selling mini blackberry pies at Raley Field in Sacramento. This thing was awesome! Great flavor. I wish I’d had two.

We found a place in San Jose called “A Slice Of New York”. Megan’s response was “More like two slices of New York. This place is go-ood!” And she was right!

Took the girls to see Jeter play in New York, it’s only right I take them to see him again in Seattle!

Yum! The bread was soggy with gravy, but great flavor. Worth the long wait in line!

Pretty awesome that my girls can say they saw Derek Jeter play in Yankee Stadium. (I saw him play in both.)

Really appreciate the hospitality at Yankee Stadium. They set us up with a tour, gift bags for the kids, and seat upgrades for our game. The trip coordinated with the last of the current-30 parks for me, as well as my birthday.

Any chance to have Shake Shack is a must!

The ferries were at capacity both to and from the Super Bowl parade in Seattle.

You never know when they’ll be back (or win again), so taking the girls to the Super Bowl parade was a MUST.

Cheapest hotel I could find ahead of my flight. Took the drive from Fort Myers back up to Orlando post-game and slept in the food court.

This was the “Richard Simmons”. Hamburger, chicken, bacon, and a hotdog. Child’s play.

This was a first. Sadly, I didn’t heed the warning and drove close to three hours to Round Rock for a game… That was cancelled. So I settled for Salt Lick BBQ.

Watch out indeed, this thing was gross.

Pizza from a place in Baltimore’s Little Italy. Great crust, crisp sauce. Really enjoyed it.

Pit beef and turkey sandwich outside of Baltimore. Real good. I could have eaten a handful of them.

To date, Pizzeria Bianco is still the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. And I’ve eaten A LOT of pizza.

Greasy plate of eggs, bacon, and biscuits n gravy after midnight? Don’t mind if I do! This was some greasy spoon in San Diego.

The BEHEMOTH. Huge burger, bacon, cheese, with two grilled cheese sandwiches for “buns”. This thing was delicious, and I ate all of it.

Joshua Tree was unlike any National Park I’d been in before. I didn’t realize I wasn’t supposed to pick this guy up until I saw a sign about it later. Sorry about that, dude.

South Carolina vs Clemson at Fluor Field in Greenville, SC. Had to buy a ticket from a scalper for a college baseball game. That’s what happens with games like these in the South!

Not often it rains when the roof is closed! The wind was blowing so hard that the rain was coming in from the sides. (Safeco has a retractable roof, but the sides are all open.)

There’s always a line at Pinks. I waited around 40 minutes my first time there, but waited over an hour and a half with my girls three years ago. (And they didn’t complain about it!)

I was at Safeco at the very moment they were getting Griffey’s window poster up. Great timing! I was there buying Griffey shirts for the girls.

So lucky to have two of these! $100 a piece to Children’s Hospital ahead of the Reds series at Safeco. I’d heard about them by accident before game, and was already down there early anyway so I hit the teamshop. I collect event baseballs (just for games I’m at), so this was already cool — Even more cool since they’re autographed.

My “Uncle” Tommy. We were going through pictures with a friend of ours and Jennifer said “Who’s that, your Uncle?” Might as well be, I’ve seen him as many times as my Uncle. For awhile I was on a streak of seeing Tommy Lasorda at every Dodgers game I went to.

Tried a few different cheesesteaks at Citizens Bank Ballpark. Looking forward to my next trip out so I can hit the city and have a few more.

One of the best, and most expensive, steaks I’ve eaten was here back in 2001. I went back later and they didn’t have that particular one anymore.

I was working for Sears at the time, and they’d paid for my trip out there, so I had to take this one!

Amy said “There could be an eyeball in there for all you know” right before I bit into this. Terrific Dim Sum place in San Francisco. Hit China Town, then ask one of the shop owners where they go. We ended up in a restaurant a few blocks up that was filled with Chinese businessmen.

I’ve always been enamored with the Ted Williams/Joe DiMaggio “rivalry”. It was cool to see Monument Park in old Yankee Stadium during its final season.

Notice the blue seats at US Cellular Field in Chicago. They changed the seats out to green a year or two after I was there the first time, and did a bunch of other work inside the park that really changed the feel inside (in a good way).

How do you celebrate a Presidential election? By getting out of the country! I was in Vancouver for a Canucks game when election results were announced. The election results were the loudest cheers of the night.
